In the 90’s a hit counter was a must on any website because it told visitors that you had a popular website. However, you no longer need to have a hit counter and if you do then your website is outdated. There are many websites that still have this relic of the past, but if you do then you need to move to the modern times. Tools like Google Analytics are better at counting the number of visitors you have and will offer you additional information that you need.
